I realize I haven’t blogged for a while there is a lot happening these days. Anyway, I’m getting back to posting quotes from WHAT’S YOUR POTION?, my latest book that were not included in the text. In my opinion, they’re too good to let fall by the wayside. This one was meant to go into the section on sweeteners. It is by English novelist Henry Fielding, who in “Love in Several Masks” says “Love and scandal are the best sweeteners of tea.” The sugars are my own photographed in my Noritake Gold Queen sugar bowl, the pattern of which was lost during the WWII bombing.
